One wallet per business
Your points are grouped by business, not by location. If your favourite café has three addresses, you have one single wallet, and you can earn at one address and spend at another.
What is a point?
A Badger point is a loyalty unit. You earn them by visiting a partner business and exchange them for the items or perks that business has put in its rewards catalogue.
Why some businesses give a fixed number of points
Some businesses choose to give a fixed number of points per visit rather than calculating based on the amount spent. This is a setting each business chooses — it is perfectly normal and it is their decision.
How are my visits counted?
Visits are used for the business leaderboard. They do not affect your points balance.
A visit is counted at most once per hour per location. If you return 30 minutes later, you do earn your points, but it does not count as a second visit.
Do my points expire?
Yes, if nothing happens. The points you have at a business expire after 365 days without a new earn at that business. That is the minimum — some businesses choose a longer period, but never shorter.
What pushes the 365-day deadline back:
a purchase cashed out at a business whose till is connected to Badger;
a scan at any of its locations;
a catch-up credit made by the business;
the conversion of your old stamp cards.
Each new earn pushes the deadline back for your entire balance, not just the points that just arrived. There are no 'older' points: your wallet at a business has a single date.
Using a reward does not push the date back. Only earns count. If you spend points without ever earning new ones, the expiry date does not move.
Each business has its own wallet, and its own date. Visiting one business does not extend your points at another.
You are notified in the app 30 days, 7 days and 1 day before the deadline. When it arrives, the balance at that business is reset to zero in one go. Your lifetime totals and visit history are not erased.
My points did not arrive
The display can take a few seconds. If nothing appears after closing and reopening the app, ask the business to re-scan your code, then contact us with the business name, the exact time and the amount paid.

How many points per purchase?
CHF 1 spent = 10 points. This rate is the same at every Badger partner business.
A few examples:
CHF 3.45 → 34 points
CHF 6.82 → 68 points
CHF 8.98 → 89 points
The calculation is done once on the total of your order, rounded down. It is not done line by line.
What counts in the amount
Taxes are included.
Discounts are deducted before points are calculated. An order of CHF 10 with CHF 2 off gives 80 points, not 100.
Tips do not give points.
